Ernst Hagman[edit]

Sven Ernst Hagman, born 29 January 1960, dead 13 December 2018, was an Astenian professional footballer who played as a centre-forward. Widely considered as one of the greatest Astenian footballers of all time, he finished 8th in the Ballon d'Or 1988, the highest position in the ranking for any Astenian player ever. Ernst was a member of the Astenia team that reached the semi-finals of the 1988 Euros, and in the same tournament he was named best forward. Ernst played the majority of his club football career abroad, playing for teams in the liking of IFK Göteborg, S.L. Benfica, and Ipswich Town. He received his footballing education in Annskär AIS, a team where he broke through in year 1977, recording a historic 3rd place in the national top flight.

Hagman in addition to his playing career had a brief managerial career, where he managed his beloved Annskär AIS, Broby IFs women team, and as a coach in IFK Göteborg. In October 2017, whilst living in Gothenburg coaching IFK Göteborg he received his ALS diagnosis, which would kill him around a year later.
