Illustrated Technology

1. Objective: I propose to create a YouTube video slideshow with pictures of transportation technology of the past and present dealing with the effect of society on the evolution of this technology and the effect of this technology on society.
2. Interest: This is interesting because it will show the dependence that society has burdened technology with and how that technology affects the lives of members of a society.
3. Background Reading: I will read wikipedia, text books and other basic sociology texts on the following topics: Society's dependence on technology and how society influences technological advancements. I will use photos showing the evolutions of certain technologies and the effect society has on them, as well as the effect of the technology on society.
   1. I will also find scholarly research on the general issue of technological dependence.
   2. I will find popular press discussions of my topic. Perhaps Wikipedia articles, blog entries, newspaper and magazine stories, etc.
4. General Plan:
   1. I plan to prepare interesting photos of tranportation technology and society collaborating as well as evolutions.
   2. Order those photos in a clever YouTube exhibit that depicts their importance.
5. Collaborators: I will be working alone.

Hey Sp_Ch,
I like your idea. Like we discussed it makes more sense to do a youtube video so you can get images from a variety of sources and combine them. also, voice over and text would add a great deal to this project. Also-- thanks for organizing the contributors page. --Htw3 (talk) 19:16, 16 May 2008 (UTC)
