About Me

• The first program I ever wrote from scratch was called "favorcalc", and is a now-worthless command-line program used for calculating favor with the Voln faction in Gemstone III (now upgraded and called GemStone IV). I've considered making something similar, but using the WoW API, for calculating Scryer/Aldor rep in World of Warcraft, but the idea became obsolete before I got around to doing it.
• Code I've written has been shared by officials running the Salesforce.com online blogs, despite my personal belief that nobody in any "important" company would ever use my work because I never bothered to get a degree in programming. I no longer have a blog, but the post is preserved in the official salesforce community here
• I have also made a few minor mods for Trillian, and World of Warcraft. My personal favorite is a WoW addon that plays sounds from Pure Pwnage when you make an honorable kill. It apparently still exists on CurseForge despite being extremely outdated.

• I now have a career with one of Forbes' "World's Best Employers." I agree with that assessment, as it's the greatest job I have ever had, hands down. Added bonus: I get to play in UNIX all day.
• I have created several skills for Amazon Alexa, but unfortunately am not allowed to publish them due to a very stringent non-compete clause in my current job. During this time, I got rather proficient at JavaScript and Node.JS.
• As of mid 2021, I am now working with Swift (programming language) to develop iOS apps. Sadly, I cannot share any of my apps due to sharing restrictions placed by my employer -- but I am greatly enjoying the language!
