Stephen J. Stofflet, born & raised in Charlotte, MI. Also lived in New York City, Chicago, Dallas, and Los Angeles (largely while employed in the film/video industry from 1980-2000).
Worked in the film and video industry for over 20 years, beginning with Blockbuster Entertainment in 1985 as a clerk in their first store (due to educational background in film production). Later moved to distribution center in Garland, Texas and accepted position as 'Inventory Control Supervisor.' Later, accepted joined their purchasing department as a 'Product Specialist', selecting demographically friendly product for each store .
1990: Moved to California, joining distribution firm Tapeworm Video.
1992: Moved to Chicago, joining Picture Start, Inc. (a company focused on short films, now out of business) and Facets Multi-Media a revolutionary non-profit that provided distribution for independent, foreign, avant-garde, underground media artists.
1994 - 2000: Created new company known as "videos.com, Inc." - not related to current domain at all (I sold the domain in 2000); that also focused on short films to the home consumer market. In addition, produce a number of programs, including:

1998 - 2006: Continued to develop freelance media projects (websites, music videos, digital editing, graphic design, etc). View selected projects online here
2000: Information Analyst for General Motors, via EDS corporation.
2000 - 2003: Information Analyst for Consumers Energy Corporation.
2003 - 2006: Communications & Technology Specialist for the Episcopal Diocese of Western Michigan.
2006: Began working at Michigan State University. Initial project was for the Land Policy Institute's report The State of Michigan Cities - converting text-heavy report into a graphically enhanced book for distribution, capturing important facts and figures, and highlighting them for easy media consumption. After that project, moved to the Office of the Vice President for Finance and Operations (2007-2009). Joined the Department of Pharmacology & Toxicology in early 2009, as the point of first contact for their online programs (MS in Pharmacology & Toxicology, Professional Science Masters in Integrative Pharmacology).
