Born in 1985 on the island of Jersey in the Channel Islands, Stefan attended De La Salle College, Jersey College for Girls, Beaulia Convent School and Blacks Academy, he had further tutorage from Robert Duhamel (Jerseys former Environment Minister). He went onto higher institutes of education in mainland England where he attended Southampton University to Study Social Sciences with the intention of doing a conversion to Law, with this series of degrees partially completed he put them on hold with a open offer or return to complete in order to enrol in a degree in film at what was Southampton Arts Institute which became Southampton Solent University this change in path was derived from viewing a online film competition (Depict) submission - Le Cheval 2.1 which prompted him to relook at his love of film making which was initially formed at De La Salle College whilst completing a A-Level in Media Studies. Having completed the Film degree at Southampton Solent University he was awarded a further Honorary Arts degree from Oxford University. He is currently in the process of founding a Independent Film and Entertainment company on his native Isle of Jersey.
