Stephen Jones is a former teacher and principal in Tasmania. He is currently based in Hobart, Tasmania, although he currently has statewide responsibilities as Chairman of the Combined Commonwealth Societies of Tasmania. This role involves advocating for Commonwealth related matters, supporting Commonwealth Societies, and organising events with a Commonwealth focus.

Education

Stephen has a Bachelor of Education from the University of Tasmania. He has taught across the state, as well as holding a number of principal positions.

Current Roles

Stephen is currently Chairman of the Combined Commonwealth Societies of Tasmania, Chairman of the Royal Over-Seas League Tasmanian Branch and Convenor of Australians for Constitutional Monarchy Tasmanian Branch.

Stephen advocates for Commonwealth Societies in Tasmania, liaises with other state branches on matters related to the Commonwealth and organises and supports events with a Commonwealth focus. He works closely with other organisations including Government House advancing the ideals and vision of the Commonwealth and how it manifests in Tasmania in particular.

The Combined Commonwealth Societies of Tasmania includes the Royal Over-Seas League Tasmanian Branch, the Royal Commonwealth Society Southern Tasmanian Branch, the Caledonian Society of Tasmania, the National Flag Association Tasmanian Branch, Australians for Constitutional Monarchy Tasmanian Branch.
