Jack Massey Welsh (born (1996-06-24)24 June 1996), also known as JackSucksAtLife (previously JackSucksAtMinecraft), is an English YouTuber, known for his variety of content, most notably his collection of YouTube Creator Awards and various other awards.

Personal Life[edit]

Jack Massey Welsh[4][5] was born in Ramshaw, Bishop Auckland, County Durham, England[6] on (1996-06-24)24 June 1996.[7][8][9] He attended Staindrop School in Staindrop, Country Durham.[10] He met his girlfriend, Rebecca Taylor,[11][12] at college,[13] and they currently live together in Nottinghamshire, England.[14][15]

Career[edit]

Welsh created his current main YouTube channel on 10 March 2013, under the name "JackSucksAtMinecraft".[16] His early videos consisted of him playing the sandbox video game Minecraft.[4] He currently creates a variety of content, with a large part of his content focusing on YouTube Creator Awards and other awards.[4][5][17][2] On 8 May 2017, Welsh incorporated the production company he used for his videos, "Jack Massey Media Ltd".[18]

Welsh owns many YouTube Creator Awards, some which he has officially earned, and some gained by other means. He owns a Diamond Creator award with the name "KSI" on it, which he gained using a website exploit.[19] He has also purchased PewDiePie's and MrBeast's Red Diamond Creator awards,[20] and PewDiePie's Red Diamond Creator award briefcase.[21]

Welsh has created many different YouTube channels, so far owning 16. He has a Guinness World Record for having the most YouTube channels with over 100,000 subscribers owned by an individual.[4] He has also helped three other YouTubers earn Guinness World Records. He helped TommyInnit get the records for "Most followed Minecraft channel on Twitch" and "Most viewers of a Minecraft gameplay live stream on Twitch",[22] Dream get "Most subscribers for a dedicated Minecraft channel on YouTube" and "Most viewed Minecraft gameplay video on YouTube",[23] and helped GeorgeNotFound get "Most viewers of a cooking live stream on Twitch".[24][25]

In 2020, fellow YouTuber James Stephen "MrBeast" Donaldson created a YouTube channel for Welsh, titled "Don't Subscribe". Donaldson gave Welsh a challenge, in which he would give Welsh US$0.10 (£0.07) for each subscriber the channel received, up to 1 million subscribers, ultimately worth US$100,000 (£73,000). Welsh managed to get the 1 million subscribers, and received his US$100,000.[26]
