From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I am an science journalist who reports and writes for print and online news media targeted to general consumer and scientific audiences. I also produce journalistic content for selected major research institutions and universities (primarily in the Boston area). For the past decade, Wikipedia's science-related entries have been a valuable tool in my daily deadline work. I first registered as a Wikipedia user in September 2011.

Editing disclosures recommended by Wikipedia:User pages for current and planned activities:

  • I aim to strictly adhere to Wikipedia requirements that the entry be well cited and neutral, as well as closely follow other Wikipedia guidelines and policies. I welcome any input, edits and feedback from the Wikipedia community regarding my contributions and edits.
  • Science journalism (topic) - I'm a member of National Association of Science Writers and have volunteer leadership positions in several other regional and national journalism organizations.
  • Marc Kirschner, Pamela Silver, and Tim Mitchison (bios) - I had a limited consulting relationship with the Department of Systems Biology at Harvard Medical School to provide journalistic writing, primarily for their department Web site. I worked on selected Wikipedia entries for free to gain experience.
  • Multiple Sclerosis Discovery Forum - I have edited and written for MSDF as a freelance and staff journalist. My work on selected Wikipedia entries is on my own time.
