Sunil Kainthola is based in Dehradun India. His primary education is from the Kendriya Vidyalaya at Jakhu in Shimla. Later on he was shifted by his parents to Dehradun where he studied at Kendriya Vidaylaya Hathibarkala and later on from DAV Intermediate and P.G. College. He did his D.Phil in experimental psychology and also worked at NIVH Dehradun for couple of years where he contributed in the area of psychometrics aand early intervention. He is the founder director of Mountain Shepherds Initiative, a community owned tourism enterprise in the Himalayas.
