George Mueller (born 1970) is an American inventor and entrepreneur known for his numerous patents in the field of kinetic lighting. Mueller is the co-founder of color kinetics.

Life and career[edit]

Mueller grew up in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan where he attended Andover High School. He majored in Computer Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. As an inventor, Mueller founded many breakthoughs in the application of kinetic lighting, discovering practical and energy efficient ways to implement the technology. Mueller is responsible for authoring over fifty patents in the fields of kinetic lighting and color kinetics. On May 5th, 2009 Mueller launched the Ecosense Lighting campaign which aims to implement brigher, and more efficient white LED lighting as a practical light source. Mueller lives and does business in Hong Kong, and New York.
