Unreliable reliable source[edit]

A reliable source is not always reliable. Therefore, please research your edits carefully and use multiple sources when possible. Note that research and original research is not the same.

For example,

What the Wall Street Journal Europe reported:

The friction was laid bare in August when Mr. Emanuel showed up at a weekly strategy session featuring liberal groups and White House aides. Some attendees said they were planning to air ads attacking conservative Democrats who were balking at Mr. Obama's health-care overhaul.

"F—ing retarded," Mr. Emanuel scolded the group, according to several participants. He warned them not to alienate lawmakers whose votes would be needed on health care and other top legislative items.

[1]

CNN then incorrectly reported

The former Alaska governor is calling on President Obama to fire his notoriously coarse top aide after a report in the Wall Street Journal last week quoted Emanuel as referring to liberal groups in August who attacked the president's health care plan as "F-ing retarded."

Note that liberal groups to attack more conservative Democrats in Congress, not attack President Obama or his health care plan.

Caution should be exercised[edit]
