Champlain Peak (French: Pic Champlain) is a mountain located in Rimouski-Neigette, Canada. It is the high point of Bic National Park.

Etymology[edit]

The mountain takes its name from Samuel de Champlain. For some time, however, it was referred to as "Bic Hill" or French: Montagne du Bic due to having served as a lookout over the St. Lawrence during the French and Indian War. This name fell to disuse, and through lexical corruption, "Bic" eventually transformed into "Pic."[2]
