I'm a student at Olympic College in Bremerton, Washington in the Pacific Northwest of the United States of America. My daughter is named Sophia. A study abroad course in Ireland through Olympic College was an amazing experience in the spring of 2017. I learned so much about their rich culture and history. Hanging out with my daughter and reading about royal and European history are some of my favorite hobbies. The Tudor dynasty and The Wars of the Roses are especially fascinating.

Wikipedia has been very useful for any research I'm doing. The information I get from Wikipedia is accurate most of the time, and links to related and relevant articles work most of the time.

Article Critique[edit]

Review Article I visited the Denny-Blaine Park page on Wikipedia page, and found three aspects of it worth commenting; its history, usage of the page and no citation. I was always interested in how our state parks are created on Wikipedia page. The first thing I notice about the its history of the Wikipedia page for Denny-Blaine Park is that it’s not very informative on the history when the page was first made. Found a few established dates but not worth mentioning. The usage of the page was very minimal.

Summary After going over the page I would change a few things on it; add more how the park was significant to establish at that time and connections with any other parks in Seattle, WA. When I want to look up places online I like more information about that specific research. After reading the wiki page, learned how the name of the park was after the people who donated to the City of Seattle; by Charles L. Denny and Elbert F. Blaine and was responsible for the sub-dividing the surrounding of the neigh hood. I use to live on Denny Way in Seattle and I do remember visiting the park and also seeing beautiful homes with breath taking views of Lake Washington.

Conclusion/Citations Overall I would rate this page “Okay” because the references of the page is all from a local newspaper and magazine on when the park was donated and the last update on the page was in 2009. The citations for the page is needed and is also stated by the Wikipedia Page. After researching the page I would make the changes to improve more information about the State Park and more detailed stories about it. I know as a parent I would search online if I needed to find a place to hold a party for my daughter and I would use wiki to find information on State Parks.
