Getting to know Me: Talia Pruiett

My name is Talia Pruiett and I belong to the beautiful state of Michigan. I am a seventeen year old high school senior who is involved in volleyball, basketball, and National Honors Society. I also am an active community service volunteer throughout my community, and a part time employee at The Dow Bay Area Family YMCA. Between all of these activities, in my free time some of my favorite hobbies are to go shopping with my friends, babysit for my close family and friends, workout at the gym, watch movies, and spend time with my family.

After high school I plan to attend Saginaw Valley State University. My objective is to obtain a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology Management where I will major in that field and minor in management. I chose this field because I love designing and I am also intrigued by the ways all of the structures around us have come about. Through many leadership roles in my life, I have learned that leading others is a position that I enjoy and am proud to do. Because of this trait I have decided to take on a management role in the degree I am attending school for. 

Through the seventeen years that I have been alive, I can proudly say that my family is what is most important to me. They all have molded me into the caring, sweet, bold, understanding person I am today. Between both sides of my family, I have 30+ cousins, and a total of seven aunts and uncles. As for my siblings, I have five sisters and two brothers. Including me at the fifth oldest child, there are eight of us total. A fun fact about me is although I am not completely fluent, I know how to speak two other languages in addition to English. Those two language's are Spanish and French.
