Grimerica

Grimerica is a fictional country consisting of a very real community of likeminded, and sometimes not-so likeminded, listeners from around the world. Originally started as a website is 2012 Grimerica quickly evolved into a podcast in 2013 and a fledgling, ever-growing community of "Grimericans".

Podcast

The Grimerica Show is the podcast the calls Grimerica home. Self described as, A loose cannon podcast featuring casual conversations with whomever we deem interesting, often on the fringe. The co-hosts are seemingly genuine friends and highly entertaining to listen in on. Their interview style is extremely casual and very free flowing with little to no interruptions . The shows consist of interviews with many different people from all kinds of disciplines/backgrounds. .The intros to the interview consist of some back and forth banter between the hosts that usually consists of listener emails in the form of synchronicities, trip reports, lucid dreams, and much more. There is always some fairly humorous, good natured jabs between the hosts as well, which can be skipped or enjoyed. They are a value for value podcast, meaning they provide all of their episodes, in their entirety, for free. And all without any advertisements or sponsors. This means they rely solely on voluntary monthly subscriptions or donations of listeners to keep the show going. Recently the show has started rewarding supporters at any level with extra content under the guise of "The Black Budget Support Feed".

Community

The combination of the focus on listener experiences and the value for value model have created a hodgepodge community with members of a wide spectrum of experiences and abilities. Most of the shows jingles and music are provided by listeners, as well as all of the fantastic custom art pieces for each episode. The content, in large part is also created by the listeners who also take on 90% of the marketing for the show. The community aspect of the show grew exponentially with the creation of the community "chats" in late 2016. Run through the discord server this allowed for hundreds of listeners to converse, collaborate, and create which has spawned a growing list of projects each creating their own sphere of influence.
