DREAD weapon is a centrifugal weapon invented and developed by Charles St. George as part of Trinamic Technologies since at least 2001 as shown by date on the patent. The system is claimed to have no recoil, silent, jam-proof, ability for variable velocity and able to fire either .308 or .50 ball ammunition at up to 120,000 times per minutes up to 8,000 feet per second using only 150 watts of power for average usage.

As of October, 5, 2008, Trinamic Technologies site presents nothing useful nor informative beyond a blank page with It works! on it.

Mechanism of operation

DREAD weapon operates by mechanical action of accelerating the projectiles in circle and releasing it with precise timing as to travel in desired direction. It performs similarly to sling when it comes to fundamental underlying physics.
