Bio

[edit]

I called it a “huge chance” I was a Vietnamese girl who lived in the suburban. I did not know much about foreign countries and I never thought I would experience living abroad in my life. I, along with my family, moved to the United States four years ago. Now, I got used to life. I enjoy cooking and watching TV shows on the weekend with my mom. I majored in nursing college, and continue to achieve my goals.

The content in Wikipedia cannot be cited as coming from a reliable source. It keeps getting edited by any random user. Wikipedia.org is a good source of information and getting a general idea about the trillions of subjects around the globe. I am interested in Wikipedia when peoples created a reference site to proved for information. If I become involved with the encyclopedia over the long term, I would like to see myself writing about cultural, and transitional about my nation.

Article evaluation

[edit]

The jack fruit is our second place national fruit, behind durian fruit. It is one of the most famous and popular fruits. It is a summer fruit. As I known it grows in plenty in plenty in Southeast Asia. It is juicy, sweet, delicious, and bigger in size than other fruits. So I want to know more about jack fruit, I visited the jack fruit page on Wikipedia, and found three aspects of it worth commenting on: its lack of citations, its link dead, and dished and preparation.

Citations

[edit]

There are three paragraph did not have citations. First, under heading "Botanical description", there is a part called "Shape, trunk and leaves". Second, under heading "As food", "Africa" part needed reference for it. Third, "Invasive species" paragraph need citation for the information. Although there are 46 references but these paragraph above still missing reference to prove for reader the information was right. Moreover, if the reader looking for more detail there is no reference that they can get in.

[edit]

As I read cultural significant paragraph. I saw a fact about "jack fruit wood is prized for the making of Buddhist statues in temples" I wonder why jack fruit wood is prized because jack fruit tree trunk is too small why they can make statues from it. Refer to citation number 39 and 41 in references parts, the references link no longer available.

Dished and preparation

[edit]

I find it odd that only the ripe jack fruit is shown to be used as a food source while giving little to no mention to the various recipes that use young jack fruit.

Summary

[edit]

Overall, I know more about jack fruit. It is not only food, it can be use to make statues and instrument. The title sections "Shape, trunk and leaves" "Africa" and "Invasive species" only information, I could not find any evidence. For me and other reader, we cannot know the source in these three paragraphs is truth or not.

(side note: I posted a small change on Jack fruit talk page mention about citations needed Talk:Jackfruit#Citation needed)
