ThatoyaOna Mokhuane (professionally known as T.J. Mokhuane), as named after birth by his mother, is a South African actor, writer and conservationist born on September 30, 1998 in a small township in the North West province called Itsoseng[1] and is of Tswana origin.

Before the lights, cameras and all the action; Mokhuane was a BCom student at the North West University[2] in Potchefstroom where he dropped out later that year (2017) to pursue an acting career. He came to Johannesburg and went to film school where he coupled his skills with numerous drama classes and workshops which led him to scoring his first role on the International Emmy[3] nominated, South African telenovela, The River[4] where he played the teenage dad-to-be, "Tshepo" and worked alongside Tsotsi[5] (2005) star, Presley Chweneyagae[6]. Besides the fact this was his first gig, his work as "Tshepo" kept the country abuzz as fans of the show went to Twitter every night praising his and his co-star, Matshepo Sekgopi's, performances.

His work on "The River" caught the eyes of Yizo Yizo creators, Bomb Productions and he got a role on Isithembiso as "Kagiso". Mokhuane now plays "Thabang" in new telenovela titled Lithapo which is produced by Quizzical Pictures. [1]
