A replica of Jagannath Temple, Puri is being built in Digha. It is expected to be completed by the end of 2023.The cost of the project is more than Rs.100 crores.[3]
The cumulative open space around the Kamakhya Temple will increase to approximately 100,000 sq. ft., spread over three levels. The average width of the access corridor would increase from its current width of 8–10 feet to approximately 27–30 feet. Various facilities such as pilgrim facilitation centre, guest house, medical centre, food outlets, etc. to be set up.[4]
A 900-meter pedestrian corridor has been constructed, connecting the plaza to the Mahakal Temple, dotted with 108 murals and 93 statues depicting stories related to Lord Shiva.[5]
To prevent a repeat of the large-scale destruction caused by the massive floods in 2013, Kedarpuri, housing the famed Kedarnath Temple, will have a U-shaped three-tier protective walls with boulders all along it. The three-layered protection, comprising the Gabion Wall, Rock Net Wall and the Reinforced Cement Concrete (RCC) wall, will be strong enough to withstand the fury of any future flash floods. Also, the entire built-up zone will be at a higher elevation away from the Saraswati and the Mandakini rivers.[6]
Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham corridor was constructed between Kashi Vishwanath Temple and Manikarnika Ghat along the Ganges River, providing various amenities for pilgrims.[8]
Completed works include construction of Samudra Darshan Path, Exhibition Centre and Ahilyabai Temple Complex. Works that still remain include construction of Parvati Temple and various tourist facilities.[9][10]
Various facilities such as parking zones, guest houses, shopping complexes, restrooms etc. are to be constructed around the Vindhyachal Temple. The corridor, on completion, is expected to provide a clear view of the Ganga flowing in the northern direction of the temple.[11]
