The Ron Paul movement, also called the Ron Paul R3EVOLution, is the political grassroots campaign begun during the 2008 presidential candidacy of Representative Ron Paul. In addition to providing financial and organizational support for Paul's 2008 and 2012 presidential primary campaigns, the Ron Paul movement has sought to field candidates for offices at every level of government and take over Republican Party institutions in order to shift party and government policies towards a perspective more in line with those of Paul and his supporters.
