Hi I am the politicion. It is good to be here in Wikipedia. I had an account before, but forgot my password. I have used this webiste extesivly since 2006. This is my favorite website, behind Facebook and it is here were I have studied and learned extesivly and furthur educated myself on every aspect of America, humanity's and the world's society and America's and different country's politics and public policy, and trust me from what you are about to hear you will be thanful and eternily grateful that I have signed on with an account. My name is Joe young and I live in Manchester, Ct and am a politicion here in my town. I am a member of the Commission for Elderly Services and People with Disabilities, and have always longed to nevr give up on my dreams. This is my life story. I was born on November 11th, 1992 in Hartford,CT. I have always loved politics since I was five years old and I memorized all the U.S. Presidents on the back of an encycolapedia that my parents had purchased from Borders. Since then it has been an ongoing, never ending facination and a lifelong career goal. I was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome in 2001 and have always pushed to fight the the rights of those with Autism and prove that it is not a disability, but rather a race, juts as black, white, asian, arab, jew, muslim, christian, male, female, gay, staright, transgender etc. Who ever you are. My mother assumed I would fail when I was first diagnosed, but she was soon to find out the opposite. Many steps came through both good and bad and I went through great torment and success to prove her wrong. I went to pre-school at the Community Y in Manchester. I went to Highland Park School in Manchester, CT, before going to High Road Student Learning Center in Wallingford, CT. I am now about to go to Manchester Community College, and then the University Of Connecticut, where I am going to get a degree in Political Science. I will also be going to Manchester High School part time, even though I have passed the twelth grade in order to catch up on my math. I believe in second chances and my ultimate lifelong goal is to inspire others and to prove to others on the Autism spectrum that they can do the same things and accomplish the same goals that I have. I will never give up on my dream of becoming President of the United States. I have also recently ran for local office in Manchester. I am running for Manchester, Connecticut's Board of Directors, and although I did not get the nomination from my party this year, I will try again, and have already announced my intention to run again in 2013. The nominating committee for the Manchester Democratic Town Committee has however appointed me to the Commission on Elderly Services and People with Disabilities. This is because they want me to recieve more expereance, so that I would be able to run for the Board of Directors again in 2013. This means that they believe in me, and that they want me to do it. I believe the same about myself. Thru this comission I will prove to my town that Autism is not a disability, but rather a race. Thru my service on this commission, the Commission on elderly Services and People with Disabilities, as well as my service on the Board of Directors and throughout my entire political career, I will change the world for the better and prove to those on the Autism spectrum in Manchester and hopefully in the world that they can achieve their common dreams and aspirations, as long as they try. That is the story of America. I will prove this by not giving up. Temple Grandin has Aspergers Syndrome, and she is on the spectrum. She never gave up in her quest to achieve her dream of becoming an Animal Scientist. Harriet Tubman did not give up in her quest to save her friends from the darkness of America, and make way for a "new birth of freedom" for her, her friends, and all of our future generations. Jackie Robinson refused to give up thru taunts and name-calling and rose to preserver and become the first African american to play Major League Baseball, something which was thought to be an unachievable act. Harvey Milk found a way to preserver and didn't give up when he became the first openly gay man elected to major office in the United States. He was elected to the San Francisco Board of Supervisors in 1977. Nor did Barney Frank. Martin Luther King did not give up and influenced a whole generations of different Americans to fight for their own rights and freedom. Neither did Mahandous Ghandi when he did the same. Nelson Mandela did not give up in his quest to cure South Africa from apartheid, and went thru thirty years of depressing days in prison to do it, because he was fighting for what was right. Not only did he do this, but he also became President of that country, and made South Africa another America. Barack Obama did not give up thru poverty, growing up with no fater, and living on food stamps to become President of the United States. Bill Clinton also grew up in a similar way. Michael Jordan was told that he wasn't good enough to play Basketball, and was rejected from his High School Basketball team fifteen times, but did not give up. He is now the greatest basketball player in the history of the sport. Dan Malloy grew up with a severe learning disability that is Dyslexia, and was labeled Mentally Retarded by his Elementary School teachers, and he grew up to become the Governor of Connecticut. A profession in which i would one day wish to seek some day. James Durbin is also on the spectrum, and he persevered in his dream of becoming a famous rock star. Even though he did not win American Idol. Neither did Luke Jackson, or Liane Holiday Whiley, or Steven Shore, or even Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, Thomas Edison, Thomas Jefferson, Albert Einsten, Benjerman Franklin, Wolfgang Amadeaus Mozart, and numerous other members of the Autistic spectrum or would have been had they been either alive or young enough today, who all grew up being told that they coudnt do it, or that they woudnt "amount to anything" as they told Einstein, but yet they all didnt give up and pushed into the greater society their true dreams and asperations. If they can do it why can't I? Why can't I follow the life stories and achieve the goals, and never give up as these people on the Autism spectrum, and all of these people did? Why should I listen to no? The answer is that i shoudn't. To quote the president, Through all who tell us no we can't, we will respond with that timeless creed that that sums up the spirit of the people, Yes We Can," and "Yes I can" and all of you "can" follow the dreams of all of these prospective and respective people, because America is the land of opportunity, and therefore I will join a long list of Americans, and all of these people who did not give up regardless of their differences. This is what I will ultimately do. I will preserver. I will succeed. I will not give up. I will run for the Board of Directors again in 2013. I will live my dream of becoming a politician. I have even either met, seen in person or know personally some of my favorite politicions that i idolize, such as Joe Biden, Richard Blumenthal, Dan Malloy, Nancy Wyman, Chris Donovan, Bart Stupac, Cedric Richmond, Geoff Luxenberg, Ryan Berry, Jason rRojas, Jack Thompson, Mary Ann Handley, Steve Cassano, Chris Murphy, Joe Courtney, and all the members of Manchester's Board of directors right now, such as Lou Spadaccini, Leo Diana, Lisa O'Neill, Rudy Kissman, Kevin Zingler, Jay Moran, Chari Ann Pelleteir, Mark Tweedie, and Dennis Brenner. all of them. Even former board member and Deputy Mayor Matt Peak and Board of directors nominees John Topping and Steve Gates as well as republican Sue Holmes and other republican politicions usch as Rob Simmons, Linda McMahon, David Blackwell, Len Fasano, and Larry Cafero. It truely is a dream come true! Just las year these people were my idols or the opposite party that I hated politically. Now they are my friends. Never give up! Never back down on what you wish to persue in life. That is what you should take from this story. I did it so should you. I want my story to serve as a sining example on the everso dimming but yet still shining light that is the "American Dream" to never give up and never let anybody tell you that you can't accomplish your dreams and that you can't do something, because that is just not in America's nature. That isn;t who we are. Its not in our blodd. We have a long history and lust to succeed. That and out of many things I wish to do to achieve this evedent dream that has always come from my heart, I will therefore prove to those on the Autism spectrum in Manchester and hopefully the world that they can achieve their dreams as well, and to never let anybody tell them that they can't do something. This is because America is the land of opportunity, and this is what i will try my best to ultimately prove to the world. It is essential. I will run again in 2013, this is what I will do, and this is my current life story so far. I very much hope you like it, and I hope you read it and decide how if reflects your future. With alot of hope and love for thy fellow neighbor, Joe, Town Commissioner in Manchester
