The real name of 'The newsworthy man' is GUL HAMEED BHATTI. I live in Karachi, Pakistan, but was born in Lahore in the north of the country on September 8, 1948 which makes me almost 60 years old.

I have been a working journalist for the last 35 years, since March 1973 to be exact. I work as the Group Editor Sports of Pakistan's largest selling English newspaper 'The News International' which is part of the group that also owns the largest selling Urdu language newspaper 'Jang' among 11 very popular daily and weekly publications. The Jang Group also owns GEO Television which has nine centres worldwide, including the USA and UK.

My main area of interest is cricket. But I have also done extensive work in other fields. Over the last few days I have managed to feed each and every result of Pakistani players and teams in Wikipedia since the country started participating at the Olympic Games in 1948.
