The Path Entertainment Group formed in 2021, is a production company specialising in live immersive audience experiences.
History[edit]
The company, since its inception has collaborated with world recognisable licensees to create big budget and game playing theatre. Since its inception, founder David Hutchinson has expanded worldwide, opening Monopoly Lifesized in both London, England and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia[1].
GamePath[edit]
Through Path Entertainment, Gamepath Entertainment was created, a division devoted to producing large scale productions of both popular theatre shows and immersive, interactive games.
In 2021, it was announced that Path’s debut experience would be the Hasbro licensed, real life version of the classic board game, Monopoly[2]. David Hutchinson launched the globally loved spin off, with creative producers Tom Beynon and Paul Mansfield. The 80 minute game uses elements from the classic game merged with escape room challenges. The innovative company was awarded the 2022, Best Location-Based Entertainment Award for their work producing their hit interactive version of the game[3].
On the back of this success and and again, through Gamepath, the 2022 [4]SAW: The Experience was created, working alongside Lionsgate to create a theatrical, escape adaptation, based on the iconic horror film franchise.
Since then, The Path Entertainment Group have begun work on The Paddington Bear Experience[5], a new interactive attraction based on the books by Michael Bond. The new production will take place in County Hall on the South Bank in late 2023 and will be the first of its kind to open in London.
