The Truth is Worth It
[edit]"It's cold outside" the man exclaimed to a hurriedly organised media conference. Is it? Is it really? Anyone with half a brain could tell you it took 30 seconds for an ice-cream to melt of its cone. I write the truth, because it's my commitment.
[edit]It is a major accomplishment, in my opinion, to stand against the tide of what is considered the "right" opinion. A basic right to all humans, the truth, by definition a fact that is unbiased, is more and more under attack as we, the human race, face unprecedented conflict as mass media attempts to mould the minds of anyone who breathes.
Some may say, you are just objectional to anything written, but is such a statement true? If one refutes all opposing statements to the statement you are making, this is so. But the truth is often both sides. So it's logical to present the facts, unbiased, and let the reader come to their own conclusions. This is why we write, not to write in such a manner that only presents the mainstream thoughts while all the while ignoring key facts that change the narrative from a fact to fiction, but to liberate those held by mainstream mass media.
So, with renewed determination, let us all, as fellow writers and thus colleagues, freely share facts, unbiased so readers can make decisions based on both sides of a story.
[edit]History is written by the victor.
[edit]Does that make it accurate? Truthful? Let history be the judge. What does history say? If you try, you will hear it. It cries out bias, it stinks of carelessness, it is a victim. A victim of what? A victim of untruth. Yes, the truth hurts, but the truth can't change, despite the masks it is covered with.
