My username comes from the fifth volume of J. R. R. Tolkien's The History of Middle-earth, which includes glimpses of tantalizing efforts to create a time travel story set in Middle-earth. Imagine the possibilities.

My latest edits clarify the history of DeWitt Clinton High School graduates like Richard Avedon and Stan Lee. I have fixed the entry for the Revolutionary War hero which had been modified to conceal his well-established homosexuality.

I added the minor but interesting point that the melody in Dan Fogelberg's Billboard top ten hit "Same Old Lang Syne" is actually the familiar leitmotif of the 1812 Overture. Enjoy that "aha" moment next Christmas when you hear "Same Old Lang Syne" played in radio rotation with other New Year's songs and the 1812 Overture pops out at you.
