From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hello and welcome to the AfC Mentoring Program. Over the next few days, you will be immersed in a comprehensive course which will provide information about the Articles for Creation process and Wikipedia culture in general, as well as many sample articles for you to test your knowledge on.

Mentor: Say Hello![edit]

You're not going to be thrown into the pool without someone to teach you how to swim. You have been paired with a mentor. Here's what your mentor has to say to you:

Mentor: please write a paragraph or two introducing yourself and welcoming our new recruit.

Student: Say Hello![edit]

Student: please introduce yourself to your mentor. Don't worry, they won't bite. Tell your mentor about yourself (without revealing anything private) such as, your hopes, dreams, and ideals. Or you could just say "Hi!"

Discussion[edit]

During this course, you will communicate with your mentor primarily on these pages. If you want to start a discussion, just go to the "Discussion" section at the bottom of whatever page you're currently working on, edit that section, and add your message. If you're replying to a message from your mentor, be sure to indent your message by using a colon. This makes it easier to see if you're replying to someone else's message. Have any questions? Ask them here.
