What is Social Media in the world of IT? Social Media are web apps that support the creation and sharing of user-generation content. There are two components of a Social media information system there are Creating and sharing. The objective/ purpose of social media in IT is to provide platforms to business that utilize it. Through social media, businesses can be successful. Through social media, a business can communicate, advertise, share, support and entertain. Social media is unlike any other process in IT world. Unlike the other process, social media is not controlled by the business. The controlled is shared between the consumers and if the owners(business). Social media will continue to grow and change.
