Bommanjogi is a village in the southern state of Karnataka, India. It is located in Bijapur district of Karnataka State.

Demographics[edit]

Village had a population about 2500 with 1300 males and 1200 females.

Geography[edit]

Basically village is belongs to dry area.

Climate[edit]

The climate here is moderate. In summer it receives a good amount of sunlight. In winter it is not very cold.

  • The average temperature in winter is about 15–25°C.
  • The average temperature in Monsoon is about 20–35°C.

Agriculture[edit]

The village land is quite fertile, with over 90% of it being well-suited to cultivation. Farmers there grow mainly sugar cane, grapes, maize, and sorgham. Small areas are planted citrus orchards, and crops such as onions and turmeric. Irrigation is mainly based upon distribution of canals from the river or lakes and also borewells and open wells.
