Hill Top is a relatively prosperous area set high on a hill overlooking the market town of Chesham, England. The community is mainly made up of mid-large detached houses built after the extension of the London Underground Metropolitan line up to the Chiltern Hills. The area was further developed in the 1950s and 60's with the addition of a development of bungalows to cater for the growing need of middle class Londoners needing a pleasant, quiet environment with good transport links and yet excellent access to the countryside. Hill Top estate was developed circa 1958 from farmland by a developer using Steelframed/ brick veneer built bungalows, an unusal method for the time. Most of the ealier residents were first home buyers from West London who could not afford the London Prices. Number 21 Cestrham Crescent was purchased for 2,400 pounds
