From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I am Ron Coleman, also referred to as Ron Coleman (legal scholar). Back when I believed in cute handles for the Internet I sometimes called myself "Trademarx" (among other things) on the Internet because I am a lawyer whose practice involves (among other things) trademarks, particularly their use on the Internet -- and because I like the allusion to Groucho and Harpo. I have written a few books, some of which are books on the law written for non-lawyers, and a lot of articles in legal and lay publications, as well as a blog or two. I am also the (founding) general counsel of the (now defunct) Media Bloggers Association.

I am an orthodox Jew and live in northern New Jersey in the USA. I would say that my primary intellectual interests are Judaica, European history, politics, economics, humor, writing, American Studies, advertising, and science (at the popular level). I do a lot of writing and am a pretty decent editor so Wikipedia seemed like something I would enjoy if I could learn to work it. I consider myself very much a novice at this point. Because I am one.
