Tunbridge Wells Common is a large green space in the spa town of Royal Tunbridge Wells in Kent. It is owned by Rusthall Manor, although the public have access to it. Its Cricket Ground is the home of Tunbridge Wells Cricket Club.

Notable Visitors

  • When Charles II and Queen Katharine stayed at Mount Edgecombe House in 1663, their Court camped on the common.
  • Queen Victoria is known to have gone on donkey rides in the area in the 1830s.
  • Landmarks include Thakeray's House, or Rock Villa, where the novellist William Thackeray lodged in 1860.

Wellington Rocks

Formerly known as Castle Rocks, or the High Rocks on Mount Ephriam, Wellington Rocks were the home of what were called "Tunbridge Wells Diamonds".

Fonthill

Fonthill is the home of the Tunbridge Wells Forum, a local music venue.
