Davy Crockett Lake has a maximum depth of 20 feet and was impounded in 1938. This lake has a moderate fluctuation throughout the year with moderate clarity.

Vegetation

The vegetation that surrounds this lake mostly consists of water willow, cattail, as well as bulrush. This lake also has a variety of submerged vegetation including coontail and a native floating- leaved vegetation called the American lotus.

Fishing

They are known for relatively good fishing with Crappie and catfish, with excellent fishing of Largemouth bass and bluegill sunfish. [1]

Two sections

The Davy Crockett Lake in the East section does have a fee requirement to enter the lake,and this access point is open yearly. The Crockett Lake in the west side only has a bank access to the lake, and there is a fee required as well,this section is also open yearly. [2]
