YouTube
[edit]Hi there! Please don't add links to copyright infringement YouTube videos (as you did at Southern Television) - linking to content that is in violation of copyright is likely to land Wikipedia in hot water, so we don't encourage people to do it. Thanks and happy editing! 〈REDVEЯS〉 08:53, 22 January 2007 (UTC)

I was unaware that the material constituted copyright violation. I'll refrain from posting links from YouTube unless I am certain the material is in public domain. Unidyne 06:43, 23 January 2007 (UTC)

Backmasked message
[edit]Unidyne, the type of citation Wikipedia needs is not the name, copyright, etc. of the disc, but instead an article that discusses the backmasked message itself. This is to comply with one of Wikipedia's core policies, Wikipedia:No original research. If you do find such a citation, please contact me at User talk:Audacity. Thanks, Λυδαcιτγ 03:13, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

Season's greetings, Unidyne! I've just submitted Duck Soup for peer review in order to find out some better ways to improve the article's (and other Marx Brothers articles) quality. If you're interested in leaving feedback, you can go to the article's talk page and follow the link. Thanks. — Cinemaniac (talk • contribs) 22:02, 30 December 2007 (UTC)
- So far, there's only been one response to my submission of Duck Soup for critiques. However, the editor supplied some good observations, and even stated that "this article has good potential for Featured Article Status". Well, there's my New Year's resolution: Improve Duck Soup to FA quality and get it nominated. It would be nice to have the Marx Brother's magnum opus as a featured article, eh? I'll need your help, though, in that regard, as well as assistance from others. — Cinemaniac (talk • contribs) 21:06, 31 December 2007 (UTC)
Kudos!

Please help save Repo Man movie article
[edit]Yo Unidyne,
This guy, Dædαlus, is in there trying to remove parts that you, I and many others contributed to the Repo Man article. Please add to the bottom of this thread on the Repo Man talk page that you think the "Notable Motifs" section should not be blanked (erased), but left as is since the Pulp Fiction article also has a "Notable Motifs" section that isn't being considered for removal at all (even by Dædαlus himself).
While I agree that the "Notable Motifs" section could use some work, it certainly won't help the article to delete the whole thing and erase all our work which consists of many multiple contributers over a course of years. I'm willing to work on it and better incorporate it into the article, he just wants to delete it all!
With consensus, we can stop this guy from deleting all our work soon!
Thanks in advance. Cowicide (talk) 02:43, 1 May 2008 (UTC)
Carl McIntire
[edit]Hi, Unidyne,
Thanks for your expansion of material on Carl McIntire's pirate radio station. I noticed that you had a citation to "FTA Battles for Airwaves", Overthrow, March 1984, Page 18." What's Overthrow, and where did you see that reference? Thanks,--John Foxe (talk) 12:39, 21 December 2008 (UTC)
- "Overthrow" was the publication of the Youth International Party (originally named "The Yipster Times"). The Y.I.P. was a revolutionary anarcho-socialist group known for street theatre pranks (Two of their leaders, if that is the proper term, were Jerry Rubin and Abbie Hoffman), but their publication featured surprisingly in-depth (if politically biased) reporting. I came across the article in an old issue of the publication while going through some old documents. I recognized the portion about Carl McIntire and how he tried to establish an off-shore gospel station. I thought the information was worthy enough to add to his biography. "FTA" was a group called "Free The Airwaves", which tried to establish a co-operative of pirate radio stations. Thank you for asking. Unidyne (talk) 05:56, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks. Interesting and curious.--John Foxe (talk) 11:00, 22 December 2008 (UTC)
Capitalization?
[edit]Hello. I am not sure if your capitalization changes [1] to the North American currency union article are correct. My understanding is that a currency's name is always lowercase, as shown in the Wikipedia articles on the dollar and euro. Your thoughts? Thanks, Kralizec! (talk) 01:32, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
- I had no idea knowledge that currency names were to be in lower case. I've seen the word "Amero" capitalized so often on various conspiracy-themed websites. If it is to be in lower case, then so be it.Unidyne (talk) 03:23, 1 January 2009 (UTC)
- I've gone onto the article and removed the capitalization I had put up, save for the capitals used by Daniel Carr in his statement from his website.Unidyne (talk) 03:29, 1 January 2009 (UTC)

Re:TheRedPenOfDoom (Again)
[edit]Hi Unidyne, thanks for letting me know about User:TheRedPenOfDoom's edits to Diner lingo - I will let the user know that his actions are not very beneficial to the integrity of the project. Also - I have re-added the most recent edit you made to Dinner Lingo, but User:TheRedPenOfDoom removed. - Fastily (talk) 05:20, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Diner lingo, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you.-- The Red Pen of Doom 21:06, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is CB slang. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/CB slang. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.
Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:05, 20 February 2010 (UTC)
