CHEVECK

  Cheveck is a community in southwest Louisiana located between the towns of Kinder and Elton. Cheveck is home to The Wild Chicken Game Preserve. This is home to the nearly extinct species such as Miants and McNabbs. There has been unconfirmed sightings of The Mule without head. These sightings were reported in the late 50's by Ed Fontenot, a local resident. Fontenot could be heard from time to time speaking of his run in with the wild beast. Fontenot was quoted on numerous occasions saying "You know that mule would go good with a pot of butter beans."

Cheveck has also home to several historical events such as the infamous failed (alleged)Christmas Eve Russian invasion.[1976]
