Nina Safane is the founder of the Girls Athletic Leadership School in Denver, Colorado [1]. Founded in 2010, the Girls Athletic Leadership School (GALS) began as a Middle School for girls. GALS has since expanded its network to include a High School, a Middle School chapter in Los Angeles and The Boys School of Denver. In addition to founder, Nina has worked under many titles at GALS, including Head of Middle School [2].
Prior to founding GALS, Nina graduated from Brown with a Bachelors degree in Education [3]. She later went on to receive a Masters degree from Columbia University in Education from the Summer Principal Academy [4].
Nina was born in Ringwood, New Jersey on October 6, 1986. She has two brothers, Jake and Aaron.
