EARLY LIFE AND CAREER

He was born in KwaZulu-Natal at mselenin Hospital in the village kwagedleza   Mkhayane

VESTO ROY feel in love with music at a very young age as he grew up in a musical family that loved Gospel music. After many years of singing Gospel he later decided to pursue a different music genre, Deep house music.

“I relate a lot with deep house music, it satisfies, heals and sets me free,” said Vesto Roy.

Vesto Roy started recording last year September and finished this year January at the NMR record label in Durban working closely with his music producer Nhlanhla Zulu in the album and Bongane Shezi as the sound engineer.

Vesto Roy composed and wrote all his songs and he does his own vocals.

Vesto Roy released he is fist singles and is working on the album which he is promising that it will be out soon. “Bayede uyingonyama yethu”is dedicated to iSilo Samabandla, “Nay’summer” is a happy song and all about Durban being the hot and coolest place to be in and all the entertainment one experiences here and “Saphela isizwe izidakamizwa” conveys a message about drugs and how they have destroyed the nation.

“My album is speaks about real issues and life experiences, some of the songs really represent what I went through, others about life challenges and most of my songs have a powerful message to the entire nation,” said Vesto Roy.

Vesto Roy is influenced by Mondli Ngcobo and would like to work with him in the future as well as Naak Musiq and the likes of DJ Tira.
