Rambhadracharya has composed 26 poetry works and plays,[1][2] out of which seven are in Hindi, eighteen in Sanskrit and one in Awadhi.[3][4][5] His first poetic work was Kākā Vidura, and the first Sanskrit poetic work was Mukundasmaraṇam.

He has written four Mahākāvyas (Epic poems), which are Arundhatī, Śrībhārgavarāghavīyam, Aṣṭāvakra and Gītarāmāyaṇam.[1][2] They consist of 1,279; 2,121; 864 and 1,008 verses respectively. He has penned seven Khaṇḍakāvyas (Minor poems), out of which two (Kākā Vidura and Mā̐ Śabarī) are Hindi minor poems based on Mahabharata character Vidura and Ramayana character Shabari respectively.[1][2] The other five are in Sanskrit (Mukundasmaraṇam, Ājādacandraśekharacaritam, Sarayūlaharī, Laghuraghuvaram and Bhṛṅgadūtam). His sole Patrakāvya (Letter poem) is Kubjāpatram, which is written in Sanskrit as a letter to Krishna from the hunchback female whose episode is described in the Bhagavata Purana.[1][2] His two Gītakāvyas (Lyrical poems) are Rāghavagītaguñjana and Bhaktigītasudhā. His only Rītikāvya (Procedural-era Hindi poem) is Śrīsītārāmakelikaumudī, which consists of 327 assorted verses describing the different activities of the child forms of Sita and Rama.[6]

He has authored six Śatakakāvyas (Poems of one hundred verses), out of which five are still unpublished. Four of them were in praise of goddess Chandi, Rama, Ganesha and footprints of Rama.[1][2] He had written five Stotrakāvyas (Eulogies) (Śrījānakīkṛpākaṭākṣastotram, Śrīrāmavallabhāstotram, Śrīgaṅgāmahimnastotram, Śrīcitrakūṭavihāryaṣṭakam and Śrīrāghavabhāvadarśanam) eulogising compassionate glance of Sita and on of herself, the Ganges, Rama and one of his birth respectively.[1][2] His one Suprabhatam kāvya (Hymn sung at dawn) is Śrīsītārāmasuprabhātam which is addressed to Sita and Rama.[7] His one Bhāṣyakāvya (Commentary poem) is Aṣṭādhyāyyāḥ Pratisūtraṃ Śābdabodhasamīkṣaṇam which comments on the Sutras of the Ashtadhyayi.[1][2] His one Nāṭakakāvya (Play poem) is Śrīrāghavābhyudayam which is a single-act play on the ascent of Rama,[1][2] and his one Nāṭaka (Play) is Utsāha.[1][2] Most notable poetry work of Jagadguru Rambhadracharya is the Sribhargavaraghaviyam, for which he won the Sahitya Akademi Award for Sanskrit in 2005.[8][9]
