Vijeesh Amalagiri is a short story writer and a critic from (a village called Amalagiri) Kerala State, India. He is the winner of K.N.G. Nair memorial story award 2008, given by Ettumanoor Kavya Vedhy. He is a member of International Association of Aspiring Authors, UNESCO World Heritage Centre Website and RML (International). He writes stories both in Malayalam and English. His famous stories in English are Daughter of Street and Social Media. Oru Pinvillikkayi Kathorthu, Salabhodhyanam, Amma, Nadi, Bhikshatanam, Adhya Mozhi, Sthri Vimochanam, Oru Snehithayude Ormakku, Bank Loan, Kathirippu, Balyam, Ammathottil etc are his noted stories in Malayalam. He is a resource person for literary Camps and various cultural programmes. In addition to this, he is a judge for story writing / telling competitions.
