Introduction
[edit]Hello
I am Vilmar Veldre, a PhD student in the field of mycology at Tartu University. I will be contributing content about fungi, especially when related to my own subject of research: particularly Ceratobasidiaceae, but also Tulasnellaceae, Botryobasidiaceae and perhaps other Cantharellales and resupinate fungi with septate basidia and self-replicating spores from Auriculariales and Sebacinales (as opposed to corticioid resupinate fungi which have aseptate basidia and non-self-replicating spores and which I do not study nearly as much, except the mentioned Botryobasidiaceae and possibly Atheliaceae since they look similar to Ceratobasidiaceae to the naked eye).
I have access to high-quality stereomicroscopes and optical microscopes and could potentially fill requests for close-up photographs or micrographs of whatever common objects.
As my first goal on Wikipedia I am planning to do a major edit of Ceratobasidiaceae, since it is my research focus.

[edit]2012/05/26 wrote from scratch heterobasidiomycetes, slightly changed jelly fungi accordingly.
To do list (as of 2012/05/26)
[edit]- major edit of Ceratobasidiaceae
- mention in Heterobasidiomycetes that Friesian Hymenomycetes vs Gasteromycetes was also influential simultaneously
- look into Zygomycota, mention in fungi that subphyla incertae sedis are former Zygomycota?
- port clade from heterobasidiomycetes to Basidiomycota
- look into Fungi imperfecti and such, give overview of historical classification?
- additions to Heterobasidiomycetes:
- figure of basidial types
- table of adoption into textbooks?
- Jülich 1981 into the table
- was it in 80s-90s reserved for jelly fungi exclusively?
primary secondary not a priority
