Gangrar is a town in a chittorgarh District Rajasthan india.Gangrar is also Tehsil in Chittorgarh District of Rajasthan State, India. Gangrar Tehsil Head Quarters is Gangrar town . It belongs to Udaipur Division . It is located 23 KM towards North from District head quarters Chittorgarh. 277 KM from State capital Jaipur towards North and 134 KM away from the lake city Udaipur at the south.

Gangrar are formally known as 'Ramgarh' for the old fort in gangrar which built to Gujjars. The completed Golden Quadrilateral highway system passes through Gangrar, connecting it to much of the rest of India. The East West Corridor (Express Highway) also crosses it. Gangrar is situated on National Highway No.79.
