Chad Walker[edit]
My name is Chad and I am doing this because I was not very smart and enrolled in yet another history of Science class. I do not think the class is bad, however I do not enjoy doing things of this nature such as posting on websites where everyone in the world can see what I am doing. This class is deceptive in the fact that it is still a history class but is has science in the name of it and well, I thoroughly enjoy science (MicroBio Major with a Botany minor) but I do not enjoy history at all.

I was born in New Mexico, but only live there a short amount of time. I moved to Ponca City Oklahoma when I was 4 years old and lived there until I graduated high school. After high school, I went to a technical college in Laramie Wyoming to learn automotive repair. Although I enjoy working on vehicles, I discovered that it is more of hobby that enjoy doing for myself and not on other peoples vehicles. So not knowing what to do with my life, I joined the United States Navy. In the Navy I worked as an Electronics Technician repairing communications, navigation, and RADAR. My first duty station in the Navy was in on the Flag Ship for the 6th Fleet called the USS Mount Whitney. The home port for the Mount Whitney was in Gaeta Italy, where I spent 3 years. From the Mount Whitney, I went to Naval Air Station Sigonella, in Sicily Italy. Funny aside, I lived in Italy for 5 years and don't speak a lick of Italian. Anyway, In 2011 I was honorably discharged from the Military and 6 months later I started my second academic career at OU.
