At 17, Tungevaag began producing music he distributed online. On June 12, 2014 his single Wicked Wonderland, with vocals by Anna Anthun was released on the label Kontor Records with international charting success in his country Norway and a number of European charts.

Worakls (born c.1988) is a French DJ and electronic musician.

He comes from a very musical family, he started learning the piano at age 3. After studying in a conservatory, he dedicated his time for electronic music and composition. He has found success with his remixes and engaged on a world tour and appearances in techno music festivals in preparation for a studio album. His track "Porto" charted in SNEP French Singles Chart.

The Early Bedroom Sessions is an album of Swedish DJ and producer Basshunter recorded in 2012 comprising of 23 tracks, 22 being remakes of some of his earlier materials. The double CD was released first on Deezer via Rush Hour label starting 3 December 2012 and on Ultra Records on 29 January 2013.

The album contains 23 tracks, consisting of 12 songs from previous online albums, The Old Shit released in 1999 and another 10 songs from The Bassmachine released in 2004, in addition to one track not released earlier in any album and titled "Go Down Now".

Neşe Karaböcek

Neş'ecan Göktürk better known as Neşe Karaböcek (born 1 April 1947 in İstanbul) is a prolific and hugely popular Turkish singer and considered one of the main artists of Turkish Arabesque music, a fusion of traditional Turkish and world music influences and adaptations of international sounds. She also starred in a great number of Turkish films. She was hugely popular from her first release for the single "Artık Sevmeyeceğim" until the mid 1990s with multiple gold and platinum certifications.

Personal life She started singing at a very age. Her marriage to musician Atilla Alpsakarya, owner and president of Elenor Plak resulted in a son Alper before they got divorced in 1974. She later married journalist Tevfik Yener with whom she had a second son Hasan.

Les Sultans

Les Sultans was a French Canadian music band greatly effected by the British invasion of sixties (The Beatles and the Rolling Stones), American folk-rock tradition and French yé-yé pop of the sixties. It was formed in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec in 1964 in and was a greatly successful band until its disbanding in 1968.

Career The origins of the band go back to 1962 when guitarist Claude Reid, a young musician greatly effected by British sounds established as an adolescent les Dots, an instrumental combo with Marcel Richard and shortly later André Dion and Gilles Henry and drummer Michel Dufault. In 1963, a vocalist Bruce Huard joined the formation giving it a great boost.

With increasing success, the band adopted more British sounds and changed its name to Les Sultans and in 1964 was signed to Fontaine record label as a new Quebec band to ride the Beatlemania bandwagon. Les Sultans original formation was vocalist Bruce Huard, guitar player Claude Reid and drummer Michel Dufault all from Les Dots days, in addition to Denis Forcier on guitars and Ghislain Dufault on bass.

Early 1994, the band became known for "Toujours devant moi" a remake of Beatles' "I Saw Her Standing There" and "Oh Lady" already made popular by Chats Sauvages and Spanish covers for "Cielito Lindo" and "La Bamba". In autumn 1964, les Sultans were chosen to succeed the Hou-Lops, another Maskoutain group from thje late 1950s, in the popular youth programme Bonsoir Copains on CHLT-TV in Sherbrooke. Managed by Jean-Guy Labelle and later Gerry Plamondon and lyricist Gilles Brown, Les Sultans became popular with songs like "Vivre sa vie" and "On est trop jeune" which made the group the youth generation spokesmen for Quebecers. The ballad "Va-t-en", composed by the group with its acoustic guitar and harmonies and elaborate vocals became a huge success. The follow-ups were French language covers of The Zombies hits in "Je t’aime bien" and "Dis-lui", with increasing charismatic popularity of Bruce Huard.

The band moved to a bigger label Télédisc, with Denis Pantis producing "Tu es impossible", a French version of Them's "I Can Only Give You Everything". Then came the band's biggest hit with a cover of Michel Polnareff's "La poupée qui fait non" considered the definitive song for Les Sultans. Other hits included "C'est promis", "Pardonne-moi", "Tout le monde me dit qu'elle est belle" and "Angélique". Their 1966 self-titled album Les Sultans broke all records of sale in Quebec, as they were chosen the Best Group of the Year during Festival du disque particularly with the launch of "L'amour s'en va", composed by band members Bruce Huard and Denis Forcier and the follow-up "Pour qui pourquoi".

In 1967, the repertoire of Les Sultans diversified with success of "À toi que je pense" and a series of English language songs composed by the duo Huard and Forcier like "To Say You're Sorry", "Bring Her Back" and "Looking Through You" to try to expand the fame of the band in the rest of Canada and internationally but with lesser success. These were included in a 1967 album Express. The band made a last tour in 1967 and early 1968 and a final album on Maison D.S.P. titled En personne - Les Sultans à Starovan - Leur spectacle d'adieu and a final single "En fermant la porte".

After break-up After break-up, singer Bruce Huard continued for a while as a pop singer before quitting music altogether. Other members were known to continue music careers. Guitarist Claude Reid studied under Alexandre Lagoya and became a music teacher and established a shop for repairing guitars. Denis Forcier joined the Aristos and Le Coeur d'une génération, and then as a solo artist and eventually composer of radio and television ads.

With the launch of Musimax, a French-language Canadian music channel oriented towards oldies, new as yet unpublished Les Sultans materials emerged in the 2000s like "Telle est la vie que j'aime", "Ça ne peut plus durer comme ça" and "Say It". These were included in a compilation album alongside many of the best known hits of Les Sultans in a subsequent release.

Ezekiel stylized as EZ3kiel is a French musical group formed in 1993 originating from La Riche, Tours, France. It now consists of three members Joan Guillon (main songwriter and guitarist), Yann Nguema (former bassist in charge of visual and interactive aspect) and Stéphane Babiaud (training percussionist, multi-instrumentalist and arranger). Matthieu Fays (drummer), a founder of EZ3kiel withdrew from the group in May 2012 after twenty years of collaboration.

Vocalist Brigitte Amédomé and guitarist Florent Duytschaever participated in the project during its first years of existence (1994-1999). Stéphane Babiaud joined the group in 2007 after recording the album Naphtaline to which he actively participated. The band has been involved in parallel projects, classical music project Naphtaline Orchestra, exhibitions notably Les Mécaniques Poétiques d'EZ3kiel, theatrical, poetic and musical collaborations with a great number of independent artists.

Career The group was named Ezekiel after the Pulp Fiction character played by Quentin Tarantino but was renamed EZ3kiel. The original line-up founding members in 1993 were Yann Nguema (bass), Florent Duytschaever (guitar) and Matthieu Fays (drums). In 1994, they were joined by Brigitte Amédomé on vocals and Joan Guillon (guitar and keyboards). Joan Guillon was also responsible for the production side and sampling, whereas Yann Nguema is responsible for the visual aspects of production. Vocalist Brigitte Amédomé and guitarist Florent Duytschaever left the band in 1999.

The remaining trio of Yann Nguema, Matthieu Fays and Joan Guillon, released the first EP and maxi single Equalize It as EZ3kiel in 1999 as a self-production. The band developed a trip hop oriented dub and jungle music including a strong audio-visual creative look, graphic identity and unique mix of music ambiance, lighting and scenography. 2001 saw the release of the album Handle with Care with Jarring Effects label and Discograph. In 2003, the band released the album BARB4RY. In 2004, EZ3kiel toured with the Belgian Flemish band DAAU in "Versus Tour". In 2005, they cooperated with Nosfell for presentations at Eurockéennes at Belfort and in 2009 in "Collision Tour" with French rock fusion group Hint.

EZ3kiel is well-known for collaborated with a great number of independent artists like Yann Tiersen, Sylvestre from Dit Terzi, Sir Jean from Meï Teï Sho, Angélique Willkie (from Zap Mama), Angelo Moore (from Fishbone), the Belgian Flemish band DAAU, Black Sifichi, Nosfell and Pierre Le Bourgeois, Narrow Terence, Blurum, La Trabant, Hint etc.

The multi-instrumentalist Stéphane Babiaud joined in as an invited musician 2007 and the band released Naphtaline as an album and as a DVD release With the album Battlefield, the follow-up to Naphtaline, Stéphane Babiaud became a permanent full-time member turning the trio into a 4-member band, playing drums, vibraphone, glockenspiel, keyboards and bass. with Matthieu Fays leaving in 2102, the band is now yet again a trio.

Principal members included Sylvain Joubert (bass), Cyril Soufflet (piano), Gérald Bouvet (guitar), Erick Pigeard (percussions), Thomas Quinart (theremin, baryton saxophone and musical saw), Bertrand Margelidon (trumpet, flugelhorn), Simon Dupire (trombon), Pierre Malle and Ombeline Collin (violin), Anthony Chéneau (alto violin) and Benjamin Garnier (cello) for performances at the Hexagon Meylan.
• 2009-2012: Les Mécaniques Poétiques d'EZ3kiel an exhibition of ten interactive sound works incorporating music and poetry with new technologies, science and mathematics for the Atelier Arts-Sciences event financed by CEA-Grenoble and theatrical project Hexagone Scène nationale de Meylan, Erasme (Multimedia Centre of Rhône), Médias-cité and DICREAM. It was also exposed in 2010 World Expo in Shanghai, at the Palais de la découverte, at la maison des métallos à Paris.

Chocolate Jesus

Chocolate Jesus is the common name of a chocolate sculpture by Richard Manderson in 1994 who called it Trans-substantiation 2, by George Heslop in 2006 who called his work Jesus on the Cross and a third one by Cosimo Cavallaro in 2007 he called My Sweet Lord.

1994: Richard Manderson's works Richard Manderson first created a series of small raspberry fondant filled chocolate Jesuses that were sold for consumption to visitors of Gorman House Arts Centre in Canberra, an Australian cultural centre and heritage site that runs theatres, workshops, exhibition space, artists' studios, offices and a café.

When a US newspaper condemned his act of depicting Jesus on a chocolate, Manderson decided in answer to create an actual life-size chocolate Jesus he called Trans-substantiation 2. He did so by filling a plaster mold with fifty-five pounds of melted chocolate. He used chocolate-dipped strings for hair and plastic Easter wrap for a loincloth. Manderson's work was exhibited in public around Easter in 1994, with Manderson inviting the public to come and eat his chocolate Jesus work after the exhibition.

Manderson explained that he felt that what had originated as a solemn holiday in contemplation of the resurrection of Christ had become a "rather ugly period of over consumption".

2006: George Heslop's work George Heslop, an English artist created the Jesus Crucifixion scene made of chocolate. His work was displayed in April 2006 in Bradford-on-Avon in Wiltshire as part of Ale and Porter gallery’s Chocolate exhibition. Chocolate reproductions also included a depiction of Michelangelo's David and Dalí's Venus, in addition to a chocolate tree, chairs, townscapes etc. He said he wanted to draw attention to the practice of "retail opportunism" that takes place during Easter.

2007: Cosimo Cavallaro's work

Cosimo Cavallaro's created an initial chocolate Jesus. But the work was damaged by rodents incidental to its storage in Brooklyn. Subsequently he recreated in 2007 a work called My Sweet Lord for a Holy Week display at the Lab Gallery at the Roger Smith Hotel in Manhattan. His sculpture displayed an 'anatomically correct' Jesus with full frontal nudity in a crucifixion position, and with no artistic loincloth covering Jesus' private parts.

The planned exhibition resulted in many protests. In a famous confrontation between the artist and Bill Donahue, the president of the Catholic League commenting during a CNN show hosted by Anderson Cooper that Cavallaro's work was "one of the worst assaults on Christian sensibilities ever". The Catholic League also called it "hate speech". After Cacallaro received many objections and threats, and the Catholic League asked for boycotting the Roger Smith Hotel, Cavallaro decided to call off the controversial exhibition.

In media and the arts

• In 1997, author Stephen Jaramillo, published his fiction book Chocolate Jesus on Berkley Books. The plot revolves around Sydney Corbet, selling his idea for a chocolate Jesus to a candy company to pay off a gambling debt, but then is forced to reckon with stiff opposition and a crusade against the candy company
• In 1999, Tom Waits recorded the song "Chocolate Jesus" that appeared on his album Mule Variations. It was co-written by Tom Waits & Kathleen Brennan. The song has been covered by a number of other recording artists.
• In 2010, Thomas Quinn described his encounter with a chocolate Jesus that led him to a spiritual questioning of Christian beliefs in What Do You Do with a Chocolate Jesus? An Irreverent History of Christianity published by BookSurge.[1]

Mayada El Hennawy (in Arabic ميّادة الحنّاوي pronounced Mayāda al-Ḥannāwi in classical Arabic transliteration) born in Aleppo, Syria on 8 October 1959, is a Syrian and pan-Arab songstress.

Career Born Mayada Bent Bakri El Hennawy in a music-loving family, she was discovered by Egyptian pan-Arab composer musician and singer songwriter Mohammed Abdel Wahab when at age of 18, she was performing in Bloudan, Syria. Abdel Wahab named her "The Songstress of the Generation" (in Arabic مطربة الجيل transliterated as Moutribat el Jeel). and invited her to Egypt to write songs for her. Mayada's sister Faten was also a very promissing singer as well. El Hennawy cooperated with some of the biggest known Arab lyricists and music composers, including Abdel Wahab and Mohammed El Mougy.

But her biggest launch as a pan-Arab singer came with her collaboration with songwriter Baligh Hamdi in the 1980s. Her most famous songs from Hamdi include "Ana Ba'sha'ak", "El Hob illi Kan", "Ana A'mel Eh", "Sidi Ana", "Indi Kalam" etc. Riad El Sounbati also composed for El Hennawy.

In her earlier career, she also sang songs written by Mohammed Sultan, Hilmi Bakr and Jamal Salameh and in the 1990s, Sami El Hefnawi, Salah al Sharnoubi, Mohammed Sultan, Ammar El Sherei, Khaled Al Amir. She was promoted by Egyptian music promoter Mohsen Jaber, owner of Alam El Fan record label and Mazzika music station.

During the Anwar Sadat and early years of the Hosni Mubarak regimes in Egypt, she was reportedly forbidden from coming to Egypt. Despite that, Mayada El Hennawy has performed in some of the biggest music festivals in Syria and the Arab World, has appeared in great number of television specials, sang in praise of Damascus in "Ya Sham" and in praise of Beirut in "Beyrouth Ya Arous el Sharq" and in the operette composed by Haitham Ziad entitled "Yeslam Trabak Ya Sham" with some of the biggest Arab stars, Hani Shaker, Latifa, Assi El Helani etc.

After her album Touba, she went on a hiatus for many years, surfacing only with some Arab nationalist songs on certain occasions for Syria, Palestine, Algeria, Tunisia, Kurdistan etc. But later launched a new album in 2007 that includes a song written by Baligh Hamdi and originally destined to be sung by Oum Kulthoum. She has also been very verbal in supporting the Hafez Assad regime which reportedly led to Kuwaiti authorities banning her from a concert scheduled during the Hala Febrayer music festival in Kuwait. El Hennawi is planning a huge comeback reportedly with new albums with Alam El Fan.

Yuri Mraqqadi

Yuri Mraqqadi (in Arabic يوري مرقّدي ) is a Lebanese singer, born 17 December 1969. He studied production and became a professional advertising designer in addition to music.

He became famous after his hit single "عربىٌ أنا" ("Arabiyyon ana" meaning An Arab I Am) which jump-started his musical career. His follow-up song "المرأه العربية" ("Al-Mar'a al-Arabiyyah" meaning The Arabic Woman) had a similar pan-Arab success. Between 2001 and 2005, Mraqqadi released four studio albums. After a period of hiatus, he has returned for new materials of his own composition starting 2011. and is preparing a new album.

Karl Appela better known as Blacko, also known as Afrikaf is a French singer and hip hop artist. He was member of the hip hop group Sniper alongside Tunisiano (Bachir Baccour), Aketo (Ryad Selmi) and initially DJ Boudj from 1997 until his departure in July 2007. After his split, he has moved to solo performances. Immediately upon break-off he was featured in French rapper Sopran's hit "Ferme les yeux et imagine toi" in 2007 and has also charted with his own song "Le temps est compté".

Ryan Stevenson is a Canadian musician from the province of Quebec. He is releasing his debut album Better Late Than Never in February 2015 with "Never Let Me Go" as the single from the album. Renowned as a well-known professional drummer, he is also a singer, songwriter and guitar and keyboards player.

Ryan Stevenson also known as RJWS started his career in rock music as member of bands Red October and Kamakazi. Some of both bands' music clips aired on Canadian French and English TV and radio stations and two albums have been released. Afterwards, Stevenson embarked on a solo career as a drummer with personal shows, at various special and public events and in collaborations with a great number of artists including P. Personal life He is the son of Stephanie Willis. She died in 2014 at the age of 57. Stevenson's track "Dear Mom" is dedicated to her with family footage in his music video for the song.

Nikolaos Giannulidis (born September 27, 1986) better known by professional name Unik is a German award-winning record producer, musician and songwriter of Greek origin from Aachen, Germany. He has worked with a number of local German and international artists and producers. He is also the founder and owner of the production company Unik Music Productions located in Berlin, Germany.

Lamriq Abdel better known as DJ Abdel is a French DJ and producer playing hip hop, funk and contemporary R&B on major French radio stations.

DJ Abdel became known through his musical participation in the French Canal+ television show Nulle Part Ailleurs as a member of its band. He joined Dee Nasty and the dance troupe "Black Blanc Beur" (also known as B3) in touring. He also collaborated with DJ Cut Killer in forming "Double H Productions" that produced many albums most notably for 113, a French hip hop group with African and Caribbean roots.

He has broadcast music mixes on several French radio stations including on his own daily show on Fun Radio. He DJs in NRJ with a weekly show "Master Mix" and 1-hour weekly show on FG DJ Radio. His musical style is a mix of hip hop, of funk and contemporary R&B.

He wrote the musical parts for the French sitcom H and French animated series Funky Cops. He also took part in writing music materials for films including Zak Fishman’s Gamer, Fabrice Genstal’s La Squale, Thomas Girou's sequel of La Vérité si je mens ! and in 2005 Merzak Allouache's Bab el web.

In October 2007, DJ Abdel officiated at the French Star Academy, on TF1, as Official DJ.
