Wicked ride services private limited, is India's first ever bike-rental company. The company started with eight motorcycles; the first being a Royal Enfield Continental GT[1] and a Harley-Davidson street 750[2]. Now they have a fleet of 1,400 plus bikes and scooters, out of which few bikes are owned by Wicked Ride and the rest are either leased to them by the dealerships or by owners themselves. The bikes are always kept in premium condition to provide the best riding experience to the customers.
the founders of Wicked Ride; Vivekananda HR, Varun agni and Anil G; first of came up with the business idea when they were friends together at college and only in 2013, did the business idea start to take shape. Finally in 2014 the company was founded in the month of April.
It started its operations in Bangalore[3], the following year becoming India's first bike- rental company . the services of Wicked Ride is currently available in 34 metropolitan cities, in India. the Bike-renting services of Wicked Ride is done without any involvement of Deposits from the customer.The company also provides; adventure motorcycle trips to Bhutan[4] or the Himalayas[5] (Ladakh).
Angel funding was used in the first round of funding and it received Rs. 5 crores in 2014.Rs. 80 crores were received in the second round, which was conducted in the 2015-2016 financial year[6].Later in July 2015 the company went in for their first seed funding, for an amount of $ 7,90,000 (Rs. 50190597.20).
