Born in 1972 in New Delhi, India, Raman Sharma, known by his artist name Rummy Sharma, is an internationally renowned music producer and DJ. With nearly thirty years of experience in the studio and on stage, he is one of the most famous Indian techno/underground artists[1], credited as the pioneer of techno in India[2].

Rummy Sharma has shared the stage with the greatest international artists, including Sven Vath[3], Grand Master Flash and Dr. Motte[4] [5]. He won many awards[6] [7] and is the only Indian to have performed at the Love Parade of Berlin[8], with his own truck, the world's most important festival for electronic music. After sharing for 20 years his time between Berlin, the world capital of electronic music, and his hometown New Delhi, he settled down in Bordeaux, France. He shares his time between the European and Indian scenes, and is regularly invited to prestigious venues around the world[9], in Germany especially: Tresor, Watergate, Sisyphos, Palace, Silq, die Kantinne, Suicide Circus, The Woods, Chalet...

Besides his artistic career, Rummy Sharma created Studios Bakers [10] in 1994 in New Delhi, and Climax in 2005, which became a legendary club in New Delhi. In 2008, he opened another nightclub in Delhi called KUKI[11] [12] [13].

In 2012, Rummy Sharma resold his companies in order to focus exclusively on music production, his first passion. His music is produced by many internationally acclaimed labels, including: BluFin Records, Tronic Music, Neuhain Recordings, Kling Klong, Love Harder, Wonne Musik, Circle Music, Muller Records, Natura Viva, etc.[14]. One of his biggest international hits is Wade in The Water, produced with Namito[15].
