Negumbo senior secondary school
[edit]Negumbo senior secondary school is located in Omusati region in a small village called Onaanda in Oukwambi. Negumbo was formed in 1999 and opened by the former president of Namibia in the same year. From the year 1999 to 2006 it was under the control of Mr. Julius Nghifikwa, and then from 2007 Mr. Iiyambo Alugongo took over, who is a current principal.
This school gives accommodation to learners from grade 8 to 12, where most of them are from nearby schools. It offers different sports like basketball, football, netball, volleyball. There are also different clubs like debating club, History club and AIDS awareness club, whereby learners' shows a good interest and they tend to performed well[1] when it comes to different competitions. Learners get chances to travel all over the country and visit nearby countries too [2], as a results they give a good impression to the society and encourage other schools.
