JFLS[edit]

Jinan Foreign Language School (JFLS,or JNFLS in some occasions, simplified Chinese: 济南外国语学校; traditional Chinese: 濟南外國語學校; pinyin: Jǐnán Wàiguóyǔ Xuéxiào)^[3] is a school in Jinan, Shandong, China. It is the only foreign language school in Shandong Province which has been officially put on record by the Ministry of Education of P.R.China and permitted to transport admitted-by-recommendation students toward priority colleges and universities since 2001.^[4]

JFLS is a complex school, including primary and secondary sections, with the prominent feature of foreign language teaching, and the teaching method of foreign language is different from most of the Chinese primary and secondary schools.^[2]

Branches[edit]

Jinan Foreign Language School (including Sanjian Branch) has more than 6660 students at present and on-the-job teaching and administrative staff are 580.

Junior Branch[edit]

Jinan Foreign Language School is located in No. 23 Shifan Road, which is the school area for the students of junior middle school students.^[5]

In March, 1996, cooperating with Shandong Sanjian Property Group Corporation, Jinan Foreign Language School established its Sanjian Branch（Jinan Foreign Language School Sanjian Branch, simplified Chinese: 济南外国语学校三箭分校; traditional Chinese: 濟南外國語學校三箭分校; pinyin: Jǐnán Wàiguóyǔ Xuéxiào Sānjiàn Fēnxiào）, which is a private entirely secondary school fully invested by Sanjian Property Group Corporation and omni-directionally managed by JFLS.

Sanjian Branch is located in No. 6868 Airport Road, Lingang Economical Development Zone, which occupies a land area of 189 Chinese acres and is the school area for Senior High School now.

Primary Branch[edit]

According to school co-operation agreement, Jinan Foreign Language School (including Sanjian Branch School) regards Jinan Foreign Language School Kaiyuan International School and Jinan Waihai Progressive School as its base of students.

Kaiyuan International School^[6][edit]

Jinan Foreign Language School successfully signed an agreement cooperating to run a school with Jinan Huanshan Real Estate Development Co., Ltd. in December, 1999. In the year of 2000, Jinan Foreign Language School Kaiyuan International School (KIS,JFLS, simplified Chinese: 济南外国语学校开元国际分校; traditional Chinese: 濟南外國語學校開元國際分校; pinyin: Jǐnán Wàiguóyǔ Xuéxiào Kāiyuán Guójì Fēnxiào) was born.

Kaiyuan International School covering an area of 60 Chinese acres is located at No. 139 Huanshan Road, which is a full-time privately-run boarding primary school.

Jinan Waihai Progressive School^[7][edit]

In November 2004, Jinan Foreign Language School signed a management agreement with Jinan Waihai Real Estate Development Co., Ltd. JFLS was entrusted with the entire aspect being responsible for sending education administration to put into effect to Jinan Waihai Progressive School(JWPS, or Waihai in some occasions, simplified Chinese: 济南外海实验学校; traditional Chinese: 濟南外海實驗學校; pinyin: Jǐnán Wàihǎi Shíyàn Xuéxiào).

Waihai Progressive School is located at No. 19 Happy Street, Huaiyin District, taking up a field of 23 Chinese acres, which is also a full-time privately-run boarding primary school.
