This etymology has been accepted by linguists Bakar Gigineishvili (Tbilisi State University), Thomas Wier (Free University of Tbilisi),[1] and Lasha Bakradze (Director of the Georgian Museum of Literature).[2]

Մածունը գործածվում էր շուրջ տարի, և գյուղական բնակչությունը տիրապետում էր այն մեկ ու ավելի շաբաթ կավամաններում սառը պահպանելու հմտությանը, իսկ ավելի երկար տևողության համար քամում էին, լցնում կաշվե պարկի մեջ և թեթևակի աղում:
