Integrated Development Strategy of Khezrabad Watershed (Iran-Yazd Province)

In order to provide an integrated plan that can provide comprehensive water management objectives, it is necessary to provide the main objectives of the watershed, it is necessary to provide the main objectives of the basin with the participation of stakeholders and stakeholders with a view to ecological capability. The plan tries to coordinate the people needs with the private and public sector programs, regulations, legislation adapted to local conditions & their policies.

Components of Integrated Watershed Management Model:

1- Ecological, social and economic evaluation (Analysis of existing situation)

* Extraction of programs and pathologies of past and current projects;

* Analysis of watershed based on knowledge, talent analysis and Ecological board capacity;

* Extraction of Stockholder's Needs by Facilitators, Capacity Building and Empowerment technique (Participatory approaches);

* Profit, Benefits of Participation and Bonding investment analysis for finance.

2-strategy, policy and implementation plan

* Formation or activation of Committee based on human capital, infrastructure (physical), natural, financial and social Capitals;

* Converting Stockholder's problems to plan (coordinated with government plans)

* Use of decision support systems (SWOT analysis)

* Recognition of resources, natural talents and organizational planning.

3- Implementing the model

*Training and pathology, use of existing Institutional structures, application of High Level documentation of the plan and approval at the city council and provincial planning council, implementation.
