I am a Digital Outreach Specialist for Lakeshore Interactive, LLC, which is a provider of creative services for CouponCabin. Prior to this, I held a similar role at Performics.

I hold a Master's in Writing, Rhetoric and Discourse from DePaul University and a Bachelor's in Journalism from Roosevelt University, both located in Chicago. At Roosevelt, I was the managing editor of the student newspaper, The Torch. Before transferring into Roosevelt, I attended the College of DuPage where I was the editor-in-chief of the student newspaper, The Courier.

I am also the editor and publisher of The Chicago Grid online magazine. Our website has been live since October 2009. Our Twitter (@ChicagoGrid) has more than 750 followers and our Facebook page has more than 450 fans.

I have been a guest speaker on newspaper design at the Scholastic Press Assoc. Conference and a judge at the McCormick Foundation Media Awards. I was also invited to be a panelist on issues of freedom of the student press at the University of Chicago's 2010 Academic Freedom Symposium.

I currently serve as the Marketing and Communications Committee Chair for the Progressive Alliance - PAC in Cook County, IL. I was also a digital media consultant for the Tim Egan for 43rd Ward Alderman campaign during the 2010 Chicago municipal elections.

I'm kind of a new user, so I'll be practicing in my /sandbox.
