I would love to upload this image - but I am uncertain if the licensing restrictions of wikipedia allow that. I would love to make this an embedded image - but that is only possible for uploaded images. mailto: http://xenoc.co.uk/twiki/pub/Main/ThomasSchodt/wikipedia.mailme.png (masked email image created with http://mindprod.com/applets/masker.html) The application used to create the image *is* copyrighted and the terms of use allow anyone to use it for any non-military purpose. Does that make the image copyrighted? and restricted in use? The image is essentially useless for anyone not owning this email address - who, other than me, could have any interest in using it? The first part of this issue has been solved. I have replaced the image with an equivalent image created using open source software. (The original is available as http://www.xenoc.demon.co.uk/pub/old.wikipedia.mailme.png). The question that still remains for me is the issue of un-encyclopaedic images on user pages. Are they allowed? A brief search reveals several users have a picture of themselves on their user page. Would my picture of my email address fall into the same category?
